Sugarloaf Equestrian Centre offers lessons for all abilities, from complete beginners up to experienced riders. Our friendly instructors will help to build confidence, enhance your riding ability and most importantly, make sure that you enjoy your lesson week after week!
Lead Rein Lessons
£20 for half an hour
Our lead rein lessons are perfect for beginners aged 4 and above who want to learn the foundations of riding. All riders will be looked after by a member of our team until they are confident enough to ride by themselves and move up to one of our group lessons. Riders will learn to start, stop, steer, walk and do rising trot on the lead rein before learning to ride their pony independently. Our lead rein lessons run on Saturdays and Sundays all year round.
Group Lessons
£23 for half an hour
Riders that can ride independently in walk and trot can join one of our group lessons, which run on Saturdays and Sundays. You will be invited to join a group that matches your level of experience and confidence, helping you to learn and progress with other riders of a similar standard. Our group lessons range from walk and trot only, for those just coming off the lead rein, up to lessons that include cantering, jumping and lateral work.
Private Lessons
£28 for half an hour
We are able to offer a limited number of private lessons on weekdays only. During the winter months these are between 10am and 2.30pm on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. When we have lighter evenings we are able to offer a limited number of after-school sessions. Please speak to Izzy or Helen P for information and availability.

Own A Pony Days
We run own a pony days every Friday during the school holidays. These run from 10.30am until 3pm and include a one-hour ride.
